SCOUTING WHEELING JESUITWheeling Jesuit, a member of the Mountain East Conference, enters Saturday's match with a 4-5-0 overall record and is 2-4-0 in MEC play. The Cardinals are looking to bounced back from a 2-0 loss on Tuesday to MEC member West Virginia Wesleyan – the Bobcats scored in the 36th minute and again in the 71st minute for the win. Offense has been hard to come by for the Cardinals thus far – through nine matches, WJU has netted just six goals and has been shut out five times. Sophomore Aitor Ininguez De Heredia and sophomore Jordan Frommeyer each have two goals apiece to lead the offense. Goalkeeper Cody Thompson has kept WJU in games by making 47 saves, playing all 825 minutes while posting a 1.42 goals against average.
The Cardinals currently stand fifth in the seven team MEC standings.

ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKSThe Huskies have tallied five goals in three separate games this season – a 5-0 win vs. Nyack; a 5-1 victory over Pitt-Johnstown and another 5-1 triumph at Chestnut Hill. It is the first time that the Huskies have scored five or more goals at least three times in a season since doing so during the 2002 campaign when Bloomsburg rose to a top 10 ranking in the nation.

CLIMBING THE POLLSBloomsburg rose one spot in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Atlantic Region rankings this week to No. 6. The Huskies defeated East Stroudsburg on the road, 4-0, and had a 2-1 setback vs. West Chester, ranked No. 5 this week in the region, 2-1 at home last week. The University of Charleston (WV), Mercyhurst, Notre Dame (OH), Lock Haven and West Chester are the five teams ranked ahead of the Huskies in the latest poll.

NOTHING LIKE THE FIRST TIMEA pair of Huskies tallied their first collegiate goal in the Wednesday win over Nyack.

Cian O'Connell (Macungie/Allentown Central Catholic) who registered his first score in maroon and gold, taking a pass from a leading
Spencer Conrad (Enola/East Pennsboro) who had pulled the goalie out of the net with his attack, allowing O'Connell to slip a shot past the Warriors keeper.

SPREADING THE LOVEThe Huskies have been tremendous at spreading their scoring threats throughout the lineup thus far this fall. Entering Saturday's match, 13 different players have tallied at least one goal.
Matt Zima (Newtown/Council Rock North),
Anthony Cerda (Budd Lake, NJ/Mount Olive) and
James Kiama (Shippensburg/Shippensburg) all are tied for the team lead with three goals apiece while Zima has a team-high eight points.
