BLOOMSBURG-The 15th-ranked Pitt Panthers spoiled the season opener for the Bloomsburg University wrestling downing the Huskies, 35-3, on Sunday afternoon in front of a large crowd.
The Panthers won nine of the 10 bouts on the afternoon with Bloomsburg's
Tanner Cahill (Johnstown /Conemaugh High School) picking up the Huskies lone win at 141 pounds.
Bloomsburg goes into this season with 10 new starters after the graduation of its entire starting lineup from a year ago.
The Huskies, 0-1, will wrestle at the Brockport (NY) Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 8.
