Tanner Cahill (Johnstown /Conemaugh High School) picked up the Huskies only win of the match with a win at 141 pounds.
Bloomsburg placed sixth at the Oklahoma/Brockport Invitational on Nov. 8. Taking fifth at 133 pounds was
Andy Schutz (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area); while
Tanner Cahill (Johnstown /Conemaugh High School) was fourth at 141 pounds with
Kevin Laubach (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) fourth at 149 pounds. Finishing fifth at 197 pounds was
Michael Mirra (Mountaintop/Crestwood) with
Shaun Heist (Allentown /Parkland High School) taking eighth at 285 pounds.

Schutz was fifth at 133 pounds picking up a win by forfeit in the fifth-place match, while Cahill fell to West Point's Logan Everett, 8-3, in the third place match.

At 149 pounds Laubach fell to Shayne Tucker of Oklahoma, 11-3, while at 197 pounds Mirra beat Stephen Snyder of West Point, 3-1. At 285 pounds Heist lost to EWL-rival Brad Emerick in the seventh place match.
Bloomsburg University true freshman
Chase Zemenak (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) was named the EWL (Eastern Wrestling League) Wrestler of the Week for the period ending Nov. 9. He shared the honor with B.J. Clagon of Rider University.

Zemenak, who red-shirting in 2014-15, competed at the Binghamton University's Jonathan Kaloust Open winning the 133 pound title. Zemenak opened with a 6-0 decision, then majored (14-4) his opponent from Lehigh University in the quarterfinals; pinned his opponent from Old Dominion in 5:00 in the semi-finals, and shut out (5-0) his Cleveland State opponent in the championship finals.
For his red-shirt season Zemenak is now 7-2.
EASTERN MICHIGAN NOTES Â Â Â
WRESTLING WEB SITEThe Eastern Michigan University wrestling team kicked off its 2014-15 campaign with two victories in the EMU Duals, while six grapplers placed in the EMU Open at Bowen Field House on Saturday, Nov. 15.

The Eagles came away with victories over Southern Illinois Edwardsville (22-18) and Lock Haven (25-13), but were unable to hold off the powerful No. 16 Northwestern Wildcats in their first dual of the afternoon, falling 26-6. Sophomore Shayne Wireman came out strong to open up his 2014-15 campaign, winning all three of his bouts, while Anthony Abro, Nicholas Barber, and Brandon Zeerip each notched two wins on the day.
The Eagles saw two grapplers earn top-six finishes at the MSU Open, Nov. 1, as freshmen Derek Hillman and Kayne MacCallum earned fifth and sixth-place finishes in their respective weight classes.
EMU head coach David Bolyard begins his first season as the top man of the Eagles. Bolyard brings nine years of NCAA Division I coaching experience to his new position. Prior to earning the head job at EMU, he spent seven years as the associate head coach with the Eagles. During those seven seasons, he coached 16 NCAA National Qualifiers and 33 All-Mid-American Conference placers. In addition, six-of-seven teams that he coached earned spots in the top-30 of the National Wrestling Coaches' Association (NWCA) All-Academic Team Award.
The Huskies lead the all-time series with the Eagles, 2-1, with the Huskies posting a 24-9 win in the last meeting between the teams in 2012-13.
