Complete AFCA Top 25BLOOMSBURG – The Bloomsburg University football team lands at No. 12 in the final American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) NCAA Division II Top 25 following a 2014 season to remember.

The Huskies enjoyed a stellar 2014 campaign, finishing the year with an 11-2 overall record, winning the PSAC East for the second consecutive season while earning a third straight NCAA Playoff bid and 11th in school history. Bloomsburg received the No. 2 seed in Super Region One, and advanced to the regional championship game as one of the final eight teams left playing in the country.

It was more of the same for the Huskies, who have become accustomed to great success on the gridiron. Head coach
Paul Darragh garnered PSAC East Coach of the Year honors for the second straight year and also was named AFCA Super Region One Coach of the Year after moving his career record to 21-4 in two seasons on the sidelines. Darragh guided a PSAC-best 14 all-conference selections including PSAC East and Daktronics Super Region One Defensive Player of the Year

The Huskies turned in their 16th straight winning season and 10th year with at least 10 victories. Bloomsburg has compiled a record of 142-36 since 2000, the best mark of any team in Super Region One over that span - only three Division II teams nationwide have won more games since the 2000 season.

This year's final ranking is the highest for the Huskies since finishing the 2008 season ranked No. 11. Bloomsburg has found a spot in 57 consecutive AFCA national Top 25 polls, dating to October 2010.
