ERIE – The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team had its first competition of the spring season on Saturday afternoon, dropping an 8-1 decision to Mercyhurst at the Pennbriar Athletic Club.
 
Bloomsburg (0-2) picked up its lone win at first doubles when Mike DiSanto (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) and Denis Ikejiri defeated Travis Beck and Mauricio Canton Diaz by an 8-3 final.
 
The Huskies will look to bounce back quickly, remaining in the Erie area to take on Edinboro on Sunday afternoon.
