BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team won its first match of the season, 8-1, over Daemen College Sunday afternoon.
Both first doubles,
Mike DiSanto (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) and
Brayden Shipman (Mill Hall/Central Mountain), and second doubles, Denis Ikeriji and
Will Humphrey (Hemel Hempstead, UK/Parmiters), had convincing 8-1 wins over the Wildcats (3-10).
The Huskies (1-6) swept the singles round winning all six matches.
Kyle Christy (Dalton/Tunkhannock) and
Mortada Stitou (Tangier, Morocco/American School of Tangier) both defeated their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at fifth and sixth singles.
Bloomsburg is back in action Tuesday, Mar. 25 when it hosts Wilkes at 4 p.m.
