BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team lost, 5-4, to West Chester on Tuesday in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup.
Playing singles first the Huskies and Golden Rams were tied at 3-3 with Bloomsburg getting wins at No. 2 from
Denis Ikejiri (Santana de Parnaiba/Makenzie Tambori); No. 3 from
Will Humphrey (Hemel Hempstead, UK/Parmiters) and at No. 5 from
Kyle Christy (Dalton/Tunkhannock).
In doubles action West Chester took a 4-3 lead with a win at No. 3 before the Huskies tied the match at 4-4 when Ikeriji and Humphrey picked up a 9-7 win. The deciding match came down to a battle at No. 1 with West Chester pulling out an 8-6 win.
Bloomsburg falls to 1-7 overall, 0-3 in the PSAC. The Huskies host Millersville on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
