BOX SCOREBLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team defeated Millersville, 8-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup Thursday.
The Huskies (2-7 overall, 1-3 PSAC) blanked the Marauders (2-6, 0-1) in doubles winning out all three matches.
Mike DiSanto (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) and
Brayden Shipman (Mill Hall/Central Mountain) won first doubles, 8-3.
Denis Ikejiri (Santana de Parnaiba/Makenzie Tambori) and
Will Humphrey (Hemel Hempstead, UK/Parmiters) finished, 8-6, at No. 2, while
Mortada Stitou (Tangier, Morocco/American School of Tangier) and
Kyle Christy (Dalton/Tunkhannock) won, 8-4.
At first singles DiSanto won in three, 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 10-8. No. 2 Ikejiri won 6-2, 7-5, while Humphery tallied scores of 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3. Christy earned the win at fifth singles, 6-2, 6-4, and Stitou prevailed in three sets, 6-4, 5-7, 10-8, at No. 6.
Bloomsburg hosts Kutztown Tuesday, April 8 for a PSAC match at 4 p.m.
