Box Score) For the second time in three games Bloomsburg scored five goals, this time on its way to a 5-1 win over Pitt-Johnstown Saturday, Sept 20. The win was the third in a row for the Huskies.

Anthony Cerda (Budd Lake, NJ/Mount Olive) who drilled the ball to the right corner for a 1-0 lead. The Huskies made it 2-0 in the 18th minute when
Mike Bamford (Doylestown/Central Bucks West), on a throw-in, threw a strike across the field where Roma Laboda headed the ball in. Bloomsburg stretched its lead to 3-0 about six minutes later when
Cameron Cleary (Pleasanton, CA/Amador Valley) took a pass from
Nick Izzo (Frankford, DE/Indian River) and used his left foot to send the ball past the UPJ goalie. Then just before halftime
Brian Kilcoyne (Bensalem/Bensalem) scored unassisted to make it 4-0. The last goal came from
Austin Transue (Langhorne/Neshaminy) who picked up a missed shot from teammate
James Kiama (Shippensburg/Shippensburg).

Box Score) The Huskies ended their 2013 season by defeating East Stroudsburg, 1-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup. In the second half
Fran Miller (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) scored the lone goal of the game for Bloomsburg when
Matt Zima (Newtown/Council Rock North) crossed the ball in from the sideline and Miller headed it over the goalkeeper. This gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead with just over 15 minutes to play in the game. The goal was Miller's sixth goal of the year and 22nd of his career. In goal
Bernie Roell (Douglassville/Daniel Boone) made 10 saves and recorded his sixth shutout of the season.

SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURGThe Warriors fell to Mercyhurst, 6-1, on Saturday, Sept. 20. Sophomore forward Andrew McGinley scored his third goal of the season on an assist from junior forward Jonathon Stuppe in the 66th minute for ESU (1-4-1, 0-2). Junior goalkeeper J.B. Pahls made five saves for the Warriors. Freshman Madison Crum-Burger made two saves in just under 12 minutes in his first career action.
OUTWORKING THEIR OPPONENTSSo far this season the Huskies have scored 13 goals on 77 shots on net. In comparison, opponents have score only five times, and mustered only 49 shots.
SCORING IN BUNCHESIn two of their last three contests, the Huskies have notched five goals. Previously, Bloomsburg's last five-goal outing was September 25, 2012, which was a 5-1 Huskies win at Chestnut Hill.
