BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team jumped three spots to number six in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Atlantic Region rankings this week. The Huskies have won three of their last four games and are now 7-5-1, 6-5-1 PSAC, this season.
Last week Bloomsburg won all three games it played, including a 2-1 victory over Edinboro at Steph Pettit Stadium.
Rachel Yenney (Collegeville/Perkiomen Valley) scored the game-winner in the 80
th minute off of a rebound from a shot by
Allie Barber (Pittston Twp/Pittston Area). In net,
Devon Haviland (Warminster/Archbishop Wood) made seven saves to earn the win.
For the season,
Allie Barber (Pittston Twp/Pittston Area) leads the team in goal (6), assists (3) and points (15).
Ashley Sanchez (Lyndhurst/DePaul Catholic) follows Barber with five goals, two assists and 12 points. In goal, Haviland has made 58 saves and tallied five shutouts.
The Huskies will be back in action this Saturday as they host Pitt-Johnstown at 7:30 p.m. at Steph Pettit Stadium.
