Bloomsburg and IUP are battling for a spot in the PSAC playoffs. Including today, the Huskies have two conference games remaining, while IUP has three games left.
SENIOR DAY
Today the Huskies will honor the senior members of its team:
Shelby Koch (Mechanicsburg/Mechanicsburg),
Stephanie Tuccio (Exton/Bishop Shanahan);
Becca Snee (Northumberland/Shikellamy),
Chrissy Hollan (Laurys Station/Parkland),
Taylor Gerstenfield (Warminster/William Tennent);
Hailey Vonasek (Sparks, MD/Notre Dame Prep);
Brooke Etter (Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown Area) and
Ashley Sanchez (Lyndhurst/DePaul Catholic).
LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies suffered a tough 2-1 loss to East Stroudsburg on Wednesday.
Allie Barber (Pittston Twp/Pittston Area) scored unassisted for the Huskies lone goal, while
Devon Haviland (Warminster/Archbishop Wood) finished with four saves, including a penalty shot save. For IUP Jenny Vietmeier scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime to lead the Hawks to a 2-1 victory over Seton Hill on Wednesday.
LAST MEETING
A year ago IUP spoiled the Huskies home opener by posting a 1-0 win. In the 29th minute of play IUP's Brittney Kuhns was taken down in the box resulting in a penalty shot. On the penalty shot Kuhns shot was blocked by Huskies goalkeeper
Megan Deak (West Islip, NY/West Islip), but bounced away from her. Kuhns then came in and put the ball into the net for the score.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies are ranked sixth in the first NCAA Atlantic Regional poll of the year.
Allie Barber (Pittston Twp/Pittston Area) leads the team in points with 18 (7 g-4 a), while
Ashley Sanchez (Lyndhurst/DePaul Catholic) is second with 16 points (7 g-2 a).
Rachel Yenney (Collegeville/Perkiomen Valley) is third with six points (3 g), while
Jenna Fisher (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove) is fourth with five points (1 g-3 a). In goal,
Devon Haviland (Warminster/Archbishop Wood) has a goals against against average of 1.16 with 62 saves in 1,400 minutes with a saves percentage of .775.

SCOUTING IUP
IUP is led in scoring by Lexie Palluconi with 23 points (8 g-7 a), while Kiersten Zerbe is second with 20 points (9 g-2 a) with Erica Boyle third with eight points (2 g-4 a). In goal Jessica Printz has a goals against average of 1.77 with a .667 saves percentage in 1,425 minutes of action. As a team IUP has scored 29 goals and allowed 28.
