ERIE---Andy Schutz (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) finished second at 133 pounds to lead the Bloomsburg University wrestling team at the 2015 PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Championships on Saturday at Mercyhurst University in Erie. As a team the Huskies had three placewinners and finished ninth with 40 points.

Schutz started the day with a win by fall over Rodney Sunday of Seton Hill in 3:41. In the quarterfinals he won 4-1 over Tony Recco of Edinboro, then beat Kevin Kinyua of Mercyhurst in the semifinals. In the finals Schutz faced off with Bob Rehm of Lock Haven, 9-1, to grab second place.

Taking fourth at 157 pounds was Brendon Colbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) who finished the day 2-2. Colbert started the day with a 4-1 win over Spencer Nagy of Edinboro before losing to Aaron McKinney of Lock Haven, 2-0, in the semifinals. In the consolation semifinals Colbert won by decision over Michael Griffith of Mercyhurst, 6-3. In the third place match Nagy came back and beat Colbert, 5-2.

Also finishing fourth was Dominic Carfagno (West Paterson, NJ/St. Joseph Regional) at 197 pounds who went 3-3 on the day. Carfagno opened with a win over Jamar Henry of Mercyhurst, 8-4 before losing in the quarterfinals. Making his way through the consolation bracket then posted three straight victories to reach the consolation finals. In the third place match Carfagno fell to Evan Ramos of Shippensburg, 7-4.

The Huskies return to action on Dec. 17 at Lock Haven starting at 7 p.m.
