STORYLINE

The Bloomsburg tennis teams will host the BU Duals this weekend.  Competition begins on Friday when the Huskies take on Chestnut Hill at The Burt Reese Tennis Center at 5:30 p.m.


LAST TIME OUT

(Men's Match Recap) (Women's Match Recap) The last time the men's or women's tennis teams competed against Chestnut Hill was in the 2009-10 season. In the last match, both Bloomsburg teams defeated Chestnut Hill, 9-0.

SCOUTING CHESTNUT HILL

(Box Score) The Chestnut Hill men's tennis team comes into the competition with an overall record of 10-6 with their last win being over the University of Hartford, 4-3. In the singles competition Steven Say won at the number one spot and Michael Humes the number three. Henry Boyle then won the number five matchup in the singles competition. In doubles, the number one doubles team of Lucas Bocaletto and Pedro Regalin won, and the number two doubles team of Steven Say and Michael Humes also defeated their opponents.

(Box Score) The women's team comes into the competition with an overall record of 13-7. They also are coming off their most recent win over the University of Hartford, 7-0. The Griffins swept the singles and the doubles competitions. Laure-Anne Josso won the number one singles competition, followed in rank order with wins by Charlotte Dawson, Lara Scholtze, Iman Williams-Mulesa, Axe Owens, and Morgan Oechsle. The number one doubles team of Dawson and Josso took the win, followed by Williams-Mulesa and Scholtze at the number two spot, and Owens with Oechsle taking the third win.

Next up for the Huskies, the men's team takes on Philadelphia University at 8 am on Saturday. The women's team will then play Goldie Beacom at 12:30 or as soon as possible.
