BLOOMSBURG – The Bloomsburg University women's soccer program has announced the addition of 10 players for the 2015 season.
 
The newcomers will play for head coach Matt Haney who will be in his first season at the helm this fall.
 
"We found some pacier, athletic and technical players to make us a more athletic side," Haney said of his recruiting class. "We brought in size and speed for up top and in the back which we identified as an area of need for ourselves. We also focused on bringing in a goalkeeper to enhance our battle for the starting job there and were able to do so. We're thrilled with the group we brought in."
 
The large class will also add to battles for playing time at spots around the field.
 
"With the amount of injuries you get through the season, we wanted to add depth and competition at every spot," Haney stressed. "We think we have some players who will be able to make an impact right away."

Allie Barber – F

Background: Four-year letterwinner in soccer and was team captain senior year … Owns the school and district records with 159 career goals as well as 38 assists … Earned All-State honors following junior season … Selected Wyoming Valley Conference First Team all four years of high school … Also scored over 1,000 career points in basketball and was a three-year letterwinner in track.
 
Erin Bielski – D
(Century High School – Maryland)
 
Background: Two-time First Team All-Conference and First Team All-County pick on defense … Voted co-captain senior year … Part of 2014 Maryland 2A State Champions … Plays for Soccer Association of Columbia club team ranked No. 3 in Maryland and No. 23 in U.S., winning the 2014 Division I Washington Area girls soccer league championship.

Background: Three-year varsity starter and served as team captain senior year … Helped lead team to seventh consecutive SOL Continental Conference championship … Named Third Team All-Continental Conference at midfield … Earned Pennridge HS girls soccer scholar-athlete award … Played on Upper Salford FC Strikers club team for three seasons as well as Harleysville Futbol Club Ready '96.
 
Taylor Zucco – D
(Glenelg High School – Maryland)
 
Background: Four-year starter at Glenelg High School in Maryland … Played as a defensive center back for team that reached state semifinals and also played center midfield and outside midfield during high school career … Selected as team captain … Named Second Team All-County … Member of SAC Kickers U-18 Girls Premier Team (Columbia, MD) which was a finalist in the Maryland State Cup Tournament in 2014 and won the Atlantic Soccer League (ASL), earning national ranking.
