ERIE—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team lost to Mercyhurst University, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon in Erie.
 
The game was tied 0-0 through the first 45 minutes and into the early part of the second half. In the 57^th minute Mercyhurst finally broke through and scored when Lauren Testa took a shot from the right side of the box and hit the upper left corner of the net.
 
Bloomsburg tied the score in the 64^th when Megan Carroll (Middletown/Middletown Area) took a shot from the middle of the box and beat the keeper to the right side.
 
It stayed 1-1 through the remainder of the regulation period. In the ninth minute of the first overtime the Lakers scored the game winner when Testa lofted a pass over the defense and Kristina Roberti hit a shot high in the goal.
 
Mercyhurst outshot the Huskies for the game, 16-10, while the teams tied in corner kicks, 6-6.
 
Bloomsburg, 1-3, hosts Lock Haven on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
