SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg enters the contest with a 1-3-1 overall record and an 0-2-1 mark in the PSAC standings. Offense has been a struggle early in the season as the Huskies have scored just three goals through the first five games of the year - and two of those goals have come on penalty kicks. Redshirt junior
Austin Transue (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) leads Bloomsburg with one goal and one assist for three points. He also has the team's only game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the team's season-opening 1-0 win over Felician on September 1. Senior
Josh Smith (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) and sophomore
Clayton Newton (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) have the Huskies' other goals - both coming against Gannon last Friday. Freshman
Mike Bazadona (Courtdale, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) is the only other player with a point after registering an assist on Newton's goal against Gannon. The Huskies have been outshot, 95-60, through five games with Transue posting a team-high 14 shot attempts. He also leads with six shots on goal. Redshirt junior goalkeeper
Jacob Pesarcik (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) has played well but is just 1-3-1 after earning the start in all five games. He has a 1.91 goals against average and a .783 save percentage on the season.
SCOUTING LOCK HAVEN
The Bald Eagles are 2-1-1 overall with Tuesday's contest being their first PSAC match of the campaign. Lock Haven has outscored its opponents, 7-6, but has been outshot, 52-44, through four games. The team's only blemish came at the hands of 16th-ranked Urbana when it dropped a 2-0 road decision on September 4. Troy Amspacher is the reigning PSAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week and is off to a blazing start for the Bald Eagles. He has scored six of the team's seven goals and leads the team with 12 points on the season. He currently leads the PSAC in both categories. Amspacher has also taken 24 of the team's 44 shots.
