LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, the Huskies did not allow a goal against two regionally-ranked opponents after knocking off Gannon, 2-0, on Friday before settling for a 0-0 double overtime tie against Mercyhurst on Saturday. Bloomsburg scored both of its goals against Gannon (seventh in the NSCAA Atlantic Region poll) on penalty kicks in the second half - one from sophomore
Taylor Zucco (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) and the other from senior
Allie Camp (Beavertown, Pa./Midd-West). It was Zucco's first collegiate goal. Sophomore
Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) posted three saves for her first shutout of the season. On Saturday against Mercyhurst (sixth in the NSCAA Atlantic Region poll), Haviland stopped all six Laker shots to post her second consecutive shutout in the 0-0 stalemate. The Huskies outshout the Lakers, 7-6.
Lock Haven last played on Wednesday, September 7, and dropped a 2-1 decision at Kutztown. Hayleigh Swam scored in the 43rd minute to give the Bald Eagles a 1-0 advantage at halftime. Over, the Golden Bears scored a pair of second-half goals - in the 77th and 87th minutes - to deny the Bald Eagles their first PSAC win of the season. Bree Hilty stopped four Kutztown shots in a losing effort.
