STORYLINE
Bloomsburg will look to get back to its winning ways after suffering a tough, 1-0, overtime loss to Shippensburg on Tuesday night. The Huskies also saw their two-game shutout streak come to an end with the loss. Bloomsburg is 4-3-2 overall and 3-3-2 in conference play - ninth in the PSAC standings. Slippery Rock comes into the match riding a three-game winning streak with The Rock's latest victory coming over Gannon on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 3-1. Slippery Rock is 5-4 overall but 5-2 in the conference - tied for fourth.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Slippery Rock holds a slim advantage over Bloomsburg in the all-time series, 12-11-2.

LAST TIME OUT
Bloomsburg battled Shippensburg to overtime but ultimately fell short and saw its two-game winning streak come to an end. This came courtesy of Bailey Bzdak's header from a Stephanie Allshouse corner kick two minutes into the extra session. Although the Huskies held the advantage in shots (16-11) and corner kicks (5-4) they were unable to push a goal past the Raiders. Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) had one save in the loss.

Slippery Rock stormed past Gannon, 3-1, thanks, in large part, to Maddy Tletski. She notched two goals in the contest - the second time she had a multiple-goal game this season. Tess Keeley also netted her first goal of the season in the win. Kylie Downs stopped four shots in goal for The Rock.

LAST MEETING
The two teams faced off last year on October 3 and saw Bloomsburg come away with a double-overtime, 1-0, win at Slippery Rock. The game remained scoreless until Ashley Sanchez (Lyndhurst/DePaul Catholic) found Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) who put the ball past the keeper to give the Huskies the victory just 39 seconds into the second overtime. Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) stopped three shots for the shutout.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg, as a team, has outscored its opponents by a 12-7 margin on the year which has propelled them to a 4-3-2 (3-3-2 PSAC) record on the season. The Huskies currently sit in ninth place in the tough PSAC conference and are now only one point out of a PSAC playoff spot. The Huskies are led by the scoring of sophomore Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) who has six points on two goals and two assists. Senior Allie Camp (Beavertown, Pa./Midd-West) and freshman Megan Callan (Eldersburg, Md./Century) are not far behind with four points each. Camp has one goal and two assists while Callan has a pair of goals. Callan is also the reigning PSAC Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week after scoring her first two collegiate goals last week. Senior Emily Potter (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) and sophomore Jessica Supp (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) have chipped in three points apiece with each collecting a goal and an assist. Sophomore goalkeeper Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) has started every game in net so far for the Huskies. She has posted a .811 save percentage to go along with her conference-leading five shutouts. She is sixth in the league in goals against average (0.73).

SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
The Rock enters with an overall record of 5-4 and a 5-2 mark in PSAC play which places them in fifth place in the conference. Maddy Tletski has enjoyed a breakout start to the season as the team's leading scorer on the year. Fresh off of her two-goal effort against Gannon on Tuesday, she now leads the team with four goals and eight points. Slippery Rock has also received good contribution from Brooke Testa who is second on the team in scoring with two goals for four points. Tyler Spence also has four points on a goal and two helpers. In the net, Kylie Downs has received most of the action starting six games and seeing action in seven matches. She is 4-2 with a 0.61 goals against average and an .826 save percentage. She is third in the PSAC in goals against average, ninth in save percentage, and tied for seventh with two shutouts.

UP NEXT
Bloomsburg will return to action on Wednesday, October 5 when it travels to Mansfield University for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff against the Mountaineers.
