STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team hosts Seton Hill on Friday and then heads to East Stroudsburg on Sunday in a pair of pivotal PSAC matchups with important playoff implications. The Huskies are in a tie for second place with East Stroudsburg - just two points behind first-place Millersville. However, Bloomsburg is only three points ahead of Seton Hill which is currently in a three-way tie for fifth in the conference standings. The Huskies have won four straight and are unbeaten in their last five (4-0-1) while Seton Hill is winless in its last two (0-1-1). The Warriors have won eight of their last nine contests.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg and Seton Hill have split six previous meetings with each team going 2-2-2. Last season, the Griffins posted a 4-2 victory over the Huskies in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Emily LoPresti scored twice for Seton Hill while Syaani Harris and Madison Schwerzler also scored. Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) and Mackenzie Gebhardt (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) scored for the Huskies. Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against East Stroudsburg, 24-10-3. The Huskies blanked the Warriors, 3-0, last season at Steph Pettit Stadium getting goals from Lauren Hoelke (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional), Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area), and Maggie McDonald (Burke, Va./West Potomac).

IN THE RANKINGS
The Huskies are ranked 23rd in the country according to the newest United Soccer Coaches Division II national poll released on Tuesday afternoon. Bloomsburg also climbed three spots in the Atlantic Regional poll and is now ranked third in the region also revealed by the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday. Bloomsburg was last in the Division II national poll on September 28, 2010 when it was ranked 13th in the country. That season also marked the last time the Huskies advanced to the NCAA Division II playoffs. Meanwhile, Seton Hill is sixth in the Atlantic Regional poll while East Stroudsburg is seventh.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies most recently posted a 3-1 victory over visiting Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon during Homecoming Weekend. Bloomsburg got goals from Christina Podpora (Elysburg, Pa./Southern Columbia), Nicole Varano (Paxinos, Pa./Mt. Carmel), and Mackenzie Gebhardt (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) while Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) added a pair of assists in the victory. The Rock scored in the 64th minute to snap Bloomsburg's streak of 472:37 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal dating back to a second-half goal by Gannon back on September 15. Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) had her streak snapped at 461:06 without allowing a goal. Balanced scoring has been the theme for the Huskies on the offensive end this season. A total of 16 different players have registered at least one point with 13 of those players scoring at least one goal on the year. Barber leads the team with four goals and three assists for 11 points. The two helpers on Saturday gave her 19 for her career which moved her into fifth place, past Christine Krebs (1996-00), on the school's all-time list. Barber also leads the team with three game-winning goals which puts her in a tie for fifth in the conference in that department. Lauren Hoelke (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional) is second on the team with one goal and a team-high five assists for seven points. She is tied for fourth in the conference in assists. Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding) has two goals and two assists for six points. Defensively, the Huskies have allowed only five goals in 11 contests this season - second fewest in the PSAC behind Kutztown which has given up three. Bloomsburg has allowed a PSAC-low 29 shots on goal this season. Hawkins has played all but 11 minutes in goal for the Huskies this season and is 8-2-1 with a 0.45 goals against average and an .821 save percentage. She leads the conference in shutouts with seven, is tied for third in goals against average, and is seventh in save percentage.

SCOUTING SETON HILL
The Griffins have been a better team away from home this season as Seton Hill is 5-1 on the road while only going 3-2-1 at home. They are coming off of a 2-1 loss against Lock Haven last Saturday and, after a 0-0 double overtime tie against Gannon on October 3, the Griffins enter on a two-game winless streak. The offense goes through two players - Italia Biondi and Emily LoPresti - who have combined to score 13 of the team's 24 goals and 33 of the team's 64 points. Biondi leads with eight goals and two assists for 18 points while LoPrest has five goals and five assists for 15 points. Biondi is fifth in the PSAC in both goals and points while LoPresti ranks in the top ten in goals, assists, and points. The duo also has six of the eight game-winning goals for the Griffins. Randi Selbekk is next on the team with two goals and an assist for five points. Jessica Neill has seen 11 of the 12 starts and is 7-3-1 with a 1.06 goals against average and an .860 save percentage. She ranks in the top ten in the league in goals against average, save percentage, saves per game (6.73), and shutouts (3).

SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURG
East Stroudsburg will play Pitt-Johnstown before taking on Bloomsburg on Sunday. They currently have a 9-3-1 overall record and a 8-2-1 mark in the conference standings. An early second-half goal scored by Danielle Cary was enough to lift the Warriors past Molloy in their last game. Monica Wood leads the team in scoring with 14 points (six goals, two assists) and is tied for sixth in the PSAC in goals. Jules Sicker and Nicole Abbot have posted identical scoring records with ten points from four goals and two assists. All four of Sicker's goals have been game-winners. Alex Pickett has also scored ten points on the year (two goals, six assists) and is currently tied for second in the PSAC in assists. Mauri Jackson has started nine games in goal for the warriors and has posted a 8-1-0 record. Her six shutouts currently tie her for second in the PSAC and she is also second in goals against average (0.33) and save percentage (.921).
