STORYLINE
After a mini two-game road swing, the Bloomsburg University women's soccer team returns home to host Slippery Rock on Homecoming Weekend. The Huskies are unbeaten in their last four and sit just two points behind first-place Millersville in the PSAC standings. Slippery Rock, meanwhile, snapped a four-game winless streak with a win over Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday. The Rock are currently four points ahead of Mercyhurst for the eighth and final postseason spot.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
The Huskies are 11-14-2 lifetime against Slippery Rock in the all-time series. Last season, The Rock blanked the Huskies, 1-0, in Slippery Rock on a goal by Skye Kramer in the 16th minute. Bloomsburg outshot Slippery Rock, 10-6, but the hosts got five saves from Kylie Downs in the shutout. Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) made only one save in the loss for the Huskies.
 
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg, ranked sixth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Regional poll, is on a four-match unbeaten after posting a 3-0 victory at Shippensburg on Wednesday night. The Huskies have not been scored upon in the last 408:17 dating back to a 2-0 setback against Gannon on September 15. Redshirt sophomore Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) has seen a majority of the minutes in goal during the run and extended her personal shutout streak to 396:46 with Wednesday's shutout win. Senior Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) and sophomores Jamie Marsico (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding) scored for Bloomsburg in the win over the Raiders. The Huskies have used an extremely balanced scoring attack en route to their 7-2-1 overall record and identical 7-2-1 mark in league play. Eleven different players have combined to score the team's 17 goals this season with Barber leading the way with four. Senior Taylor Sneidman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and sophomores Alex Burrows (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) and Holmes have each scored a pair of goals on the year. A total of 16 players have registered at least one point on the year led by Barber's nine (four goals, one assist). Holmes (two goals, two assists) and sophomore Lauren Hoelke (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional) (one goal, four assists) have six points apiece. Hoelke's four helpers are tied for sixth in the PSAC while Barber's three game-winning goals has her tied for second in the league. In goal, Hawkins is 7-2-1 with a 0.40 goals against average and an .852 save percentage. She leads the PSAC with seven shutouts, ranks second in goals against average, and is sixth in save percentage. Meanwhile, sophomore Olivia Schantz (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) saw her first action of the season last Saturday, playing just over 11 minutes in relief of Hawkins.
 
SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
Slippery Rock, ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region poll, enters Saturday's contest with a 7-3-2 record and a 5-3-2 mark in conference action. The Rock's 2-1 victory over Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday saw them snap a four-game winless streak as they went (0-2-2) during that span. Megan Sikora scored in the first half and Brooke Testa snapped a 1-1 tie with the game winner in the 79th minute in the win over the Mountain Cats. Jordyn Minda leads the team in scoring five goals for ten points. She is tied for eighth in the league in goals and tied for second in game-winning goals with three. Testa follows with two goals and four assists for eight points while Rachel Edge and Skye Kramer have added seven points apiece. Edge leads the team in assists with five which puts her in a tie for fourth in the conference. Testa's four helpers are tied for sixth. Kylie Downs has started eight games for Slippery Rock and has a 5-3-1 record while posting four shutouts, a 1.05 goals against average, and a.795 save percentage. She is eighth in the league in goals against average, tied for fifth in shutouts, and tenth in save percentage. Emma Yoder has started the other four games and has posted a 2-0-1 record. She has not allowed a single goal all season.

Bloomsburg returns home on Friday, October 12, to host Seton Hill in a pivotal conference matchup at Steph Pettit Stadium. Start time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
