STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University women's volleyball team hosts Pitt-Johnstown on Friday night and Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon to wrap up the Huskies' inaugural season. Bloomsburg is coming off of a come-from-behind 3-2 win at Lock Haven on Tuesday night while Pitt-Johnstown lost at home, in straight sets, to Shippensburg. The Raiders, meanwhile, have won three straight and will play at Lock Haven on Friday night. The Huskies will honor a pair of seniors before Friday night's match -
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll Catholic) and
Jordann Seasock (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Blue Mountain).

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg enters the weekend with a 6-20 overall record and a 2-14 mark in the PSAC Central Division. Bloomsburg is coming off of an impressive five-set win at Lock Haven on Tuesday night, rallying after losing the first two sets to win the final three. It was the program's first-ever road win and first-ever five-set match. The Huskies come in ranked third in the PSAC in digs per set (18.25) and tied for ninth in service aces per set (1.52). Bloomsburg is also fifth in the league in service aces allowed per set (1.26). It, however, is ranked at the bottom, or near the bottom, in every other statistical category including 15th in hitting percentage (.109) and 15th in opponents' hitting percentage (.209). Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll Catholic) leads the team in kills with 308 and ranks second on the team in digs with 273. She is eighth in the conference in kills per set (3.50) and 11th in points per set (3.72). She recorded the 1,000th kill of her collegiate career at California on September 15 and reached the same milestone in digs against Mercyhurst last Friday, October 26. Freshman
Mary Kate Mooney (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) is second on the team with 185 kills and third in digs with 219. Fellow freshmen
Grace Giza (Plymouth, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) and
Mia Nicholes (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) also eclipsed the century mark in kills last weekend. Giza is third with 113 while leading the team in blocks with 44. Nicholes is fourth with 111 kills and is second in blocks with 43. Nicholes reached double figures in kills for the first time in her career at Lock Haven on Tuesday. Freshman
Emma Van Arsdale (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) continues to lead the team in assists with 475 although freshman
Bryn Stek (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) is closing the gap as she has 289 after leading the Huskies in assists in 12 of the last 14 matches. Stek posted a team season-high 49 assists on Tuesday. Van Arsdale is also the team leader with 32 service aces which has her tied for fourth in the PSAC in aces per set (0.43). Sophomore
Alyssa Cianciulli (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) is tops on the squad with 602 digs. She averages 6.76 digs per set - second in the conference and fourth in the country.

SCOUTING PITT-JOHNSTOWN
Pitt-Johnstown enters Friday's contest with a 16-12 overall record and a 10-6 mark in the PSAC Central Division and has clinched an at-large spot in the conference tournament which gets underway next week. The Mountain Cats have won six of their last eight matches but are coming off of a three-set loss at home to Shippensburg on Tuesday night. Pitt-Johnstown is ninth in the PSAC in hitting percentage (.177) and is 11th in opponents' hitting percentage (.174). Maura Brehl leads the team with 387 kills on the year which puts her sixth in the PSAC in kills per set (3.65). Brehl is also second on the team with 340 digs. Noelle Carota is next with 298 kills while Caitlin Vrabel has added 248 on the year. Vrabel also leads the team with 35 aces and is second on the squad with 62 blocks. J.C. Longeville is the team's setter and has totaled 869 assists on the year placing her 11th in assists per set (8.36) in the conference. Anna Johns leads with 107 total blocks and is fifth in the league in blocks per set (1.07). Erin Carmody has 524 digs and ranks 11th in the PSAC in digs per set (4.94).
SCOUTING SHIPPENSBURG
Shippensburg, which played at Lock Haven on Friday night, leads the PSAC Central and will be a participant in next week's conference tournament. The Raiders have won three straight and seven of their last nine entering the weekend. Shippensburg is at, or near, the top in the PSAC in almost statistical category as it leads the conference in kills per set (13.73) and digs per set (20.68). It is also third in blocks per set (2.08), third in hitting percentage (.219), and third in opponents' hitting percentage (.129). Morgan DeFloria leads the team with 348 kills on the season (3.66 per set) and is fourth on the team with 328 digs (3.45 per set). She ranks fifth in the PSAC in kills per set. Samantha Webber had 288 kills and is second on the team with 86 blocks. Gabriella Johnson has 261 kills and is second with 374 digs. Kendall Johnson has 237 kills and leads the team with 104 blocks. She is fourth in the league in blocks per set (1.08) and is also 10th in the PSAC in hitting percentage (.293). Emily Hangen has 1,070 assists on the year and leads the PSAC in assists per set (11.15). Megan Forstburg leads with 503 digs and is fifth in the conference in digs per set (5.24).
