ORLANDO, Fla. – The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team lost to Dallas Baptist 6-3 on Tuesday afternoon (Mar. 13) at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Complex.
Dallas Baptist swept the doubles matches, before the two teams split the six singles contests.
Bloomsburg got its first win from
Lucas Pedrotti (Caxias do Sul, Brazil/Sao Jose) at No. 1 singles over Cannon Jones 6-3, 6-4, while
Nagid Walle (Nassau, Bahamas/Saint Andrews (Fla.)) took down Nathan Torres at No. 3 singles 2-6, 6-2, 10-5 and
Guillermo Carranza (Sevilla, Spain/Colegio Hispalense) won over Riley Smith 4-6, 6-4, 11-9 at No. 4.
The win moves Dallas Baptist to 9-1, while the Huskies fall to 0-4.
Bloomsburg is back on the courts on Thursday (Mar. 15) when they take on Ithaca. A start time for that match is TBA.
