COMPLETE DAY ONE RESULTS

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's outdoor track and field team collected three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifiers during day one of competition at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on Saturday.

It was a light opening day for the Huskies as several of the field events and a majority of the distance events were held. In fact, only six Huskies were in action on Saturday.

Two of the three conference qualifiers came in the field events. Senior Rachael Sullivan (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) posted a season-high mark of 39.05 meters in the discus to finish 15th overall in the event. The throw was just shy of her personal-best result of 39.82 meters she set at last year's Maroon and Gold Invitational. Her 39.05-meter showing on Saturday moved her up to sixth in the conference this season. Meanwhile, sophomore Amanda Aulenbach (Fleetwood, Pa./Oley Valley) tossed the javelin 39.17 meters to place 16th overall. She is still ranked sixth in the conference with her toss of 40.18 meters at the West Chester Quad Meet that opened the outdoor season.

On the track, senior Hannah Boudreau (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) finished nearly two minutes under the conference standard as she posted a time of 38:00.68 in the 10000-meter invitational. It marked her first time competing in the event this season but it is the third-best time in the conference to date.

Senior Amanda Simone (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) competed twice on Saturday, finishing 23rd in the high jump with a height of 1.57 meters and placing 27th in the triple jump with a mark of 10.46 meters. Redshirt sophomore Samantha Strype (Copiague, N.Y./Massapequa) also competed on day one and posted a time of 5:15.51 in the 1500-meter run.

The Huskies will conclude action at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on Sunday with competition slated to get underway at 9:30 a.m.
