COMPLETE RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's outdoor track and field team wrapped up its two days of competition at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on Sunday and collected four more Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifiers on the final day of the meet.
Senior
Carli Dedics (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area) highlighted the Huskies' results on the track on day two as she finished fifth overall in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 25.64 to qualify for the conference championships next month. The time broke her previous best mark of 25.89 which she set as last year's Maroon and Gold Invitational at Redman Stadium.
Also setting a personal-best on Sunday was senior
Rachael Sullivan (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) who posted a PSAC-qualifying mark of 46.00 meters in the hammer throw to finish 19th overall in the event and it gave her the eighth-best mark in the conference this season. Sullivan's previous best throw in the event was 45.74 meters at last season PSAC Outdoor Championships. It was her second qualifying mark of the weekend as she also posted a mark of 39.05 meters in the discus on Saturday.
The Huskies' other two qualifiers came in the 800-meter run as sophomore
Madison Mimnaugh (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Pittston Area) and freshman
Autumn Avery (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) got under the conference standard in the event. Mimnaugh posted a time of 2:21.75 while Avery was right behind with a mark of 2:22.03. It was a season-best time for both runners and it made Avery a new qualifier for the Huskies this outdoor season.
Senior
Morgan Ilgenfritz (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) posted a solid time of 10:50.37 in the 3000-meter run to finish 18th overall while freshman
Kathleen Stevenson (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) placed 20th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.51. Also competing for the Huskies were freshman
Autumn Kaminski (Mountain Top, Pa./Holy Redeemer), senior
Sarah Gottschalk (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township), and freshman
Jessica Brenfleck (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn). Kaminski posted a time of 16.29 in the 100-meter hurdles while Gottschalk (1:00.75) and Brenfleck (1:04.77) both competed in the 400-meter dash.
Bloomsburg will travel to Shippensburg to compete in the Shippensburg Invitational on Wednesday, April 18.
