COMPLETE RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's outdoor track and field team posted nine Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifiers on Saturday at the Bucknell Team Challenge. Five of the team's nine qualifiers hit a conference standard for the first time this season.
The Huskies finished fourth overall in the overall team scoring with a total of 51 points. Bucknell University won the team title with a total of 212 points.
On the track,
Carli Dedics (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area) posted a personal-best time of 57.58 in the 400-meter dash to qualify for the conference championships for the first time this year. Her time is the fourth-best time in the PSAC this outdoor season and it put her in fourth place overall on Saturday. Joining Dedics as a new conference qualifier in the 400-meter dash was
Sarah Gottschalk (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) who posted a time of 59.09 in the event.
Alaina Pearson (Coal Township, Pa./Shamokin Area) became a new qualifier in the 400-meter hurdles after posting a time of 1:07.55 to finish in eighth overall on Saturday.
Kathleen Stevenson (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) also hit a conference mark for the first time in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.65 and a ninth-place finish.
Hannah Boudreau (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) earned a victory in the 3000-meter run after crossing the finish line in 10:05.85. Meanwhile,
Autumn Avery (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) got under the conference standard in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.71 for a season-best mark.
In the field events,
Kirsten O'Malley (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) competed for the first time this outdoor season in the triple jump and qualified for the conference championships with a mark of 11.53 meters to win the event. Her jump was the sixth-best mark in the PSAC and she was the only new qualifier for the Huskies in the field events on Saturday.
Rachael Sullivan (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) also hit milestone as she hit a personal-best mark in the discus with a throw of 40.23 meters to finish second overall. She had never hit 40 meters in the event in her collegiate career and it moved her into eighth for the best mark in the conference this season.
Also qualifying for the conference championships were
Amanda Aulenbach (Fleetwood, Pa./Oley Valley), who finished fourth in the javelin with a throw of 36.46 meters, and
Amanda Simone (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), who took seventh in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.60 meters.
Bloomsburg has the Penn Relays on the schedule this Thursday, April 26, and then will host the annual Maroon and Gold Invitational on Saturday, April 28.
