COMPLETE RESULTS

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's outdoor track and field team, competing for the second consecutive day, finished fifth overall at the Millersville Metrics, hosted by Millersville University, on Saturday. A total of 19 institutions competed at the meet.

The Huskies competed with a shortened roster on Saturday but still managed to get two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifiers - both of whom came in the hammer throw. Seniors Rachael Sullivan (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) and Hannah Masenheimer (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) finished seventh and eighth overall in the event with throws exceeding the conference standard. Sullivan posted a mark of 41.80 meters while Masenheimer came through with her longest throw of the season - 41.63 meters - to place eighth.

On the track, freshman Kathleen Stevenson (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) had a fantastic day with a first-place finish and two second-place results. Stevenson teamed up with Sarah Gottschalk (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township), Jessica Brenfleck (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn), and Carli Dedics (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area) for a victory in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:07.08. The quartet also combined for a second-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 50.56. Individually, Stevenson took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.93.

Also scoring on the track were Autumn Kaminski (Mountain Top, Pa./Holy Redeemer), who placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.08, and Alaina Pearson (Coal Township, Pa./Shamokin Area), who took fifth in the 400-meter hurdles after crossing the finish line in 1:10.43.

Pearson also took fifth in the pole vault after clearing a height of 3.15 meters. Amanda Simone (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) also scored in the high jump after a third-place result with a mark of 1.53 meters.

Up next, the Huskies will make the short trip to Bucknell University to compete in the two-day Bison Open on Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15.
