STORYLINE
Bloomsburg and California meet on Saturday afternoon as the Huskies continue PSAC play. Both the Huskies and the Vulcans are coming off losses on Wednesday night to Millersville and Pitt-Johnstown, respectively, and each team is looking to bounce back with a win. The Huskies have started strong with a 2-1 record while the Vulcans sit at 1-2 early in the season.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg is 15-8-1 lifetime against California in the all-time series. Last season, the Huskies outlasted the Vulcans in overtime by the final of 3-2 at Steph Pettit Stadium.Â
Mackenzie Gebhardt (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) scored one of the goals while
Maggie McDonald (Burke, Va./West Potomac) scored two, including the winner in the extra session. The Huskies outshot California 22-4, but were held to only three goals by graduating California senior Michaela Colon who recorded 12 saves.

IN THE RANKINGS
Despite being selected to finish middle of the pack in the conference according to the preseason coaches poll, a hot start has allowed the Huskies to be ranked in the latest United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Regional rankings. The Huskies come into the contest ranked fifth in the region but does not include the setback at Millersville on Wednesday night.

The Huskies suffered their first loss of the season at Millersville, 2-1, last Wednesday, dropping to 2-1 overall after starting the season with consecutive shutout victories over Mansfield and IUP. Senior

Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) tallied three saves in the contest. The Huskies' are led in scoring by sophomoreÂ

Taylor Sneidman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) who each have scored a goal and an assist. Five other Huskies have scored points so far with McDonald, Barber, and freshmanÂ
Rachel Clouser (Grantville, Pa./Lower Dauphin) scoring a goal each, while senior
Erin Bielski (York, Pa./Century (Md.)) and juniorÂ
Alexis Rostucher (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) recording an assist. Hawkins is currently tied for the league lead in shutouts with two on the season.

SCOUTING CALIFORNIA
The Vulcans are off to a 1-2 start to their campaign, dropping consecutive matches to Millersville last Saturday and to Pitt-Johnstown this past Wednesday after opening their season with a 1-0 win over West Liberty. Three different players have contributed the Vulcans' three goals on the year with Carilyn Pasierb, Zana Ross, and Kellie Lynch each tallying one goal. Kiley Austin leads the team in assists with two. In net, Giana Sinatra has started two of the Vulcans' three games and is 1-0 with a 0.61 goals against average and a .933 save percentage. She has recorded 14 saves and one shutout. California has been outshot, 59-22, by their opponents through its first three matches.
