BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University wrestling team dropped a 34-9 decision to visiting Ohio University at the Nelson Field House on Friday night. The Huskies dropped to 3-10 overall on the year while the Bobcats improved to 7-5 on the season.

Things started tremendously for the Huskies as junior Willy Girard (Williamstown, Pa/Williams Valley) was able to pin Ohio University's Trevor Giallombardo with just over a minute remaining in the second period to give Bloomsburg a 6-0 advantage. Girard improved to 17-11 on the season and picked up his third pinfall of the year which moved him into a tie for second on the team in that category.

However, the Bobcats won the next eight matches to take a 34-6 advantage. During the stretch, Ohio collected two major decisions, one technical fall, one fall, and one forfeit to build the commanding lead.

Junior Bruce Graeber (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) ended things on a high note for the Huskies as he posted a 2-1 victory over Zack Parker in the heavyweight bout. Parker entered the night ranked 28th in the country at 285 pounds but Graeber was able to use an escape in the second period and a penalty point - two stall warnings - in the third to earn his fourth straight win and improve to 12-13 overall on the year.

The Huskies will close out the regular season next weekend with three home matches in two days. Bloomsburg will entertain Appalachian State and Columbia on Saturday, February 23, and then will host Bucknell University of Sunday, February 24.
