ORLANDO, FL – Lucas Pedrotti (Caxias do Sul, Brazil/Sao Jose) notched a pair of wins to power the Bloomsburg University men's tennis team to a 6-1 win over Ithaca College Thursday afternoon. With the win, the Huskies close their spring break trip to Orlando with a 2-2 record and a two-match win streak.
 
Pedrotti and Bernardo Abreu (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Rogedo) got Bloomsburg going early with a 6-2 win over Minos Stavrakas and Colten Lavery at #1 doubles, while Robin Luetzig (Hadamar, Germany/Furst Johann Ludwig Schule) and Oliver Wiesemann (Jena, Germany/Colegio de La Asuncion Malaga) secured the team point for the Huskies with a 6-4 win over Stefan Lazarevic and Garrett Boleslav at #3.
 
Pedrotti would roll in the singles portion of the match as well, downing Stavrakas 6-1, 5-1 before Stavrakas was forced to retire from the match. Abreu followed with a 7-5, 6-1 win at #4, and Wiesemann gave the Huskies a commanding 4-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Liam Spiegel at #5 singles. Nagid Walle (Willemstad, Curacao/Saint Andrews (Fla.)) also notched a win for Bloomsburg at #6 singles, and Benjamin Tauber (Bethlehem, Pa./Nazareth Area) capped the strong outing with a 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 win over Lavery at #3.
 
The Huskies return home on Thursday, March 28, to host Fairleigh Dickinson University. First serve with the Knights is set for 3:00 p.m.
