STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team looks to win its third straight - and fifth of six matches to open the season - as it entertains new PSAC-rival Shepherd University at Steph Pettit Stadium. The Rams are looking for their first win of the year as they enter with an 0-3-1 overall record on the season.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg enters the contest with a 4-1 overall record and a 3-1 mark in the PSAC East standings. The Huskies have won two straight since their only loss of the season to East Stroudsburg back on September 11. Bloomsburg most recently defeated Shippensburg on the road, 2-1, on Wednesday night as
Megan Callan (Eldersburg, Md./Century) played the hero with the game-winning goal at 89:56.
Lauren Hoelke (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional) also scored for the Huskies in the victory. Over the last two games - wins at Mansfield and Shippensburg - the Huskies have outshot their opponents, 85-11. Hoelke leads the team with two goals and three assists for seven points. She is tenth in the PSAC in points per game (1.40) and is tied for third in assists with three.
Nicole Varano (Mt. Carmel, Pa./Mt. Carmel), who did all of her damage in the first two games of the season, has three goals for six points on the year. She is tied for first in the league in game-winners with two.
Jamie Marsico (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) has contributed two goals for four points and is third on the team in scoring. In goal,
Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) has played every minute and is 4-1 with a 0.39 goals against average and a .909 save percentage. She is tied for first in the PSAC with three shutouts and ranks fifth in both goals against average and save percentage.
SCOUTING SHEPHERD
The Rams are 0-3-1 overall and 0-3-0 in their first season in the PSAC East. Shepherd opened the year with a 1-1 tie against Frostburg State but has since dropped decisions to Shippensburg, West Chester, and Kutztown. The Rams have scored only three goals on the year - two from Sara Hohn and one from Emma Bernardoni. Hohn also leads the squad with 17 shot attempts and 10 shots on goal. Lulu Fricks has started all four matches in goal but has split time evenly with Meghan Byers. Fricks has posted a 0.95 goals against average and an .875 save percentage on the year but does not have a record. Byers is 0-3-1 with a 2.84 goals against average and a .739 save percentage. Six of the eight goals Shepherd has allowed this season have come in the second half.

Bloomsburg will be back on the road on Wednesday afternoon, September 25, for a rematch against the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University beginning at 4:30 p.m. The Huskies return home next Saturday, September 28, to entertain Lock Haven at 1:00 p.m.
