Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team dropped its first dual match of the season to visiting Saint Francis University, 6-1, Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Huskies fall to 0-1 for the year while the Red Flash start the year 1-0.

Saint Francis earned the doubles point with a win at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles though it wasn't a clean sweep as
Raul Rodriguez (Naples, Fla./Marco Island Academy) and
Scott Redmond (Paget, Bermuda/Warwick Academy) won at No. 3 doubles, 7-5.

The Red Flash earned the match win with victories at No. 2 – 6 singles, however,
Albert Martin (Barcelona/Instituto Menendez y Pelayo) won at No. 1 singles. He won the first set 7-5 before Sebastian Pinos evened the match at 1-1 with a 6-1 win in the second set. Martin closed out the match with a 10-7 win in the tiebreak.

"We competed hard at every position," remarked head coach
Rebecca Helt. "We played well against a solid team and I think this level of competition allows us to really identify the areas of our game where we need to focus the most."

The Huskies return to action on October 23 when they take on Mount St. Mary's.
