Kansas City, Mo. – Senior Helen Flynn (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) of the Bloomsburg University women's soccer team earned a pair of honors from the United Soccer Coaches as she was named to the NCAA DII Women's Scholar All-America Third Team and the Scholar All-East Region team, Thursday.

Both honors are the first of Flynn's career and add on to an already highly decorated senior season for the midfielder from Allentown, Pa. Earlier this postseason, Flynn earned All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East First Team honors as well as being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region Second Team.

Flynn is an Audiology and Speech Pathology major with a 3.66 grade point average.

On the pitch, she started and played in all 23 games for Bloomsburg and finished the year with four goals, including the game-winner in double-overtime against East Stroudsburg. She was 1-for-1 on penalty kicks.

Flynn helped the Huskies to their 2021 PSAC Championship as well as their third-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. Bloomsburg finished the season 16-5-2 after advancing to the second round of the tournament.
