WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team fell in its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East finale to #4 West Chester, 19-5, Saturday afternoon. The Huskies dropped to 7-5 for the season and in PSAC play while the Rams improved to 10-0 for the year and in conference action.

Bloomsburg was led offensively by sophomore
Kelsey Clauss (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) and freshman
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) who each had a goal and an assist while senior
Abby Bergman (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley), sophomore
Kate Roberts (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman), and freshman
Madison Coyle (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) each finished with one goal. Senior
Anna Dempsey (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and junior
Abby Kalish (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) each won three draw controls for the Huskies.

Defensively, senior
Tiffany Diachynsky (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area) caused a team-high two turnovers while graduate student
Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) made eight saves in the loss.

Bloomsburg was 17-for-19 in clears while the Rams were 16-for-16. Each team picked up 17 ground balls, though West Chester held a 38-19 advantage in shots and a 16-10 advantage in draw controls.

The Rams jumped out to a quick lead as Tatum Altman scored a pair of goals in the first two minutes of action. Bergman and Stoll posted back-to-back tallies just under a minute apart to tie the game at 2-2 with 24:47 to play in the opening half.

The Rams went on a 12-0 run that took the rest of the first half and six and half minutes of the second half to push their lead to 14-2. Clauss got one back with 19:53 to play but WCU used five unanswered to extend its lead to 19-3 with 8:35 left in regulation.

Coyle found the back of the net for the second time this season with 5:24 to play thanks to an assist from Stoll and Roberts rounded out the scoring with her 19
th of the season with 1:40 on the clock. The 19-5 advantage for West Chester held at the final horn.

Bergman has scored in 11-straight games for the Huskies and it is just the second time this season Bergman has been held to just one goal.

The Huskies will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday, April 28 as they host Seton Hill in a non-conference contest at Steph Pettit Stadium. The opening draw is set for 2:00 pm. The Huskies still have to wait for the final PSAC East games to be played to learn of their seed for the PSAC tournament.
