LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Bloomsburg University women's soccer player Riley Spingler (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) picked up her second Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Week award of the season Monday afternoon after helping the Huskies post a pair shutout victories over conference opponents last week.

Spingler received the honor after racking up a total of nine saves on nine chances during the team's wins over Kutztown and Millersville. The senior goalkeeper ranks second in the conference in saves percentage (.891), goals against average (.408) and shutouts (8). Spingler's save percentage also ranks as the sixth best in the country, and her goals against average is the 10th lowest in Division II.

Remarkably, the Huskies defense has held their opponents scoreless 11 times this season and their shutout percentage of .733 is tied for the second best in all of Division II women's soccer.

With the two shutouts last week, Bloomsburg has now held its last four opponents scoreless and that streak dates back to October 1.

The Huskies (12-3, 10-3 PSAC East) will look to extend their winning streak to five when they travel to Lock Haven (3-8-3, 1-8-3 PSAC East) on Wednesday.
