Five Huskies Named CSC Women's Soccer Academic All-District

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's soccer team had five members selected to the College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced this week. Kennedy Kilchrist (Southampton, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie), Campbell Power (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area), Erin Ranegan (Wilmington, Del./Conrad School of Science), and Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) earned their first career honors, while Nicole Varano (Mt. Carmel, Pa./Mt. Carmel) is a two-time honoree.
 
Kilchrist, a business finance major from Southampton, Pa., is a two-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) honoree and played in all 21 games this season for the Huskies while making three starts. She had one goal on the season. For her career, Kilchrist has played in every game for Bloomsburg and has a goal and an assist.
 
Power, a nursing major from Souderton, Pa., is a three-time PSAC and a two-time D2ADA Scholar Athlete as a defensive midfielder for the Huskies. She was a vital member of the three-straight NCAA Tournament appearance teams and the 2021 PSAC Championship team. Following the regular season, the Huskies were ranked second in NCAA DII in shutouts per game with 0.74. The Huskies had 14 total shutouts this season and limited opponents to 181 shots, just 95 shots on goal, and 61 corner kicks. Power finished the year with one goal and four assists and posted three goals and eight assists for her career, including two game-winning goals.
 
Ranegan, a nursing major from Wilmington, Del., was named to the All-PSAC East Second Team as a defensive midfielder. She earned United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region honors in 2021 and was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete last season. Ranegan played and started in 20 games this season and had one goal and one assist. For her career, Ranegan has played and started in 43 games for the Huskies and has two goals, and an assist, both of her goals were game-winners.
 
Stoll is a biology/pre-medical science major from Farmingdale, N.Y., and a BU women's lacrosse team member. She earned PSAC and D2ADA Scholar-Athlete honors following the 2021-22 season. Stoll played in 21 games and made 17 starts this year with two goals and an assist. She had one game-winner this season and has two for her career. Stoll appeared in 37 games in two seasons for the Huskies and has made 17 starts after working her way into the starting line this season.
 
Varano rounds out the All-District honorees for Bloomsburg as she is a nursing graduate student from Mt. Carmel, Pa. She earned (formally) CoSIDA Academic All-District honors following her sophomore season. In her career, Varano earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team, two All-PSAC East First Team honors, and four PSAC and three D2ADA Scholar-Athlete accolades. She finished the season with 10 goals, three assists, and six game-winning goals, leading the PSAC and fourth in DII. In her career, she has 24 goals and 13 assists for 61 points and 13 game-winning goals. She has played 75 games in four seasons for the Huskies and made 51 starts. Her 10 goals this season ties her career-best total from the 2019 season. Varano led the Huskies to four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances and two PSAC Titles (2018 and 2021).
 
The Huskies were ranked or receiving votes in every national poll this season and finished the year with a 14-5-2 overall record after earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
 

The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA — for each gender.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or significant reserve – playing in at least 50% of the team's contests.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
