Box Score 2 oBLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team went 1-1 in a pair of home tennis matches this weekend. The Huskies opened the weekend with a 4-1 win over Frostburg State after moving the match indoors in Hershey. Rider spoiled the Huskies true home opener of the spring season with a 5-2 on Sunday.

The Huskies jumped out to an early lead in their match against the Bobcats with the doubles point.
Oliver Wiesemann (Jena, Germany/Deutsche Schule Málaga (Spain)) and
Scott Redmond (Paget, Bermuda/Warwick Academy) won at No. 2 doubles 6-1 for the first win of the day and
Albert Martin (Barcelona/Instituto Menendez y Pelayo) and
Robin Luetzig (Hadamar, Germany/Furst Johann Ludwig Schule) clinched the first point with a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

Redmond gave the Huskies a 2-0 lead in the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles before Origen Grear got the Bobcats on the board with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles.
Vishesh Patel () pushed the Huskies lead to 3-1 with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles and Luetzig clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles. The Huskies and Bobcats played to match point.

In their match on Sunday, Wiesemann and Redmond picked a win at No. 2 doubles with a hard-fought 7-5 victory but the Broncos picked up the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.

Patel tied the match for Bloomsburg with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles before the Broncos went up 2-1 win a win at No. 6 singles. Luetzig once again tied the match for the Huskies as he claimed a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles before Rider took the lead with a win at No. 1 singles and clinched the match at No. 5 singles. The Broncos closed out the day with a win at No. 4.

The Huskies return to action next Friday when they host Daeman College at 3:00 pm.
