Women's Soccer Announces 2022 Incoming Class

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Head coach Matt Haney has announced the 2022 incoming class for the Bloomsburg University women's soccer team.
 
The Huskies won their second Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) title in three seasons in 2021 and their third-straight appearance in the NCAA tournament. Haney welcomes three newcomers to the roster including Alexa Arrigale, Lorelei Hartzfeld, and Emma Wilkinson.
 
"The Bloomsburg University women's soccer staff is thrilled to have these three young ladies join the BUWS family," remarked head coach Matt Haney. "They truly exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete here at Bloomsburg. They excel on the pitch, in the classroom, and are active members of their community."
 
Alexa Arrigale
Arrigale, a native of Blackwood, N.J., comes to Bloomsburg by way of Highland regional High School and the PDA South ENCL 02/03 Club team. Arrigale played for Olivia McEachern at Highland Regional and for Keith Harman with PDA South. She was named to the First Team All-Conference and was named a top-100 Senior at Highland. Arrigale is a member of the National Honor Society and earned the People's Choice Award. She plans to major in nursing here at Bloomsburg.

Lorelei Hartzfeld 
Hartzfeld, a native of Mount Wolf, Pa., joins Bloomsburg after played for Diana Sprenkle at Northeastern High School and Todd Wawrousek with the PA Classics Club Team. She was a two-time YAIAA All-Star Firs Team selection and was named to the 2021 Pennsylvania All-State Tean. Hartzfeld was a four-time Defensive Player of the Year with her basketball team and a member of the National Honors Society, Rho Kappa, and Mu Alpha Theta. Hartzfeld was a member of the Varsity Club, Chess Club, and the Youth Court. She plans on majoring in engineering at Bloomsburg.
 
Emma Wilkinson
Wilkinson comes to Bloomsburg from Smithtown, NY and played high school soccer for Emily Fey and Michael Forman at Smithtown High School West. She played club soccer for Mark Dawson of the Long Island Slammers 04. Wilkinson was a three-year varsity member and two-year captain of her soccer team. She was a member of the 2021 Class AA Suffolk County championship team and ranked 24th in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches. Wilkinson was a two-time league champion, two-time All-League and All-Division academic honoree. She was named a NYS Scholar Athlete. Wilkinson was a member of the 2021 Easter New York State Cup champion with the Long Island Slammers and a member of the 2021 USYS Regional Tournament team. She was a four-year varsity winter track award winner. With the track team, Wilkinson was a four-time All-League honoree, was named the Best Sprinter in 2020 and a NYS Scholar Athlete. She was a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, English Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society, the Social Justice Club, and a Gold Chord Winner. Wilkinson plans on majoring in speech-language pathology here at Bloomsburg.
 
"We look forward to integrating these three student-athletes into our culture here at Bloomsburg," continued Coach Haney. "I promised these three the same I promise all members of my team – they will have the ability to compete at a high level here at Bloomsburg."
