BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's track & field team had an impressive day at the 2022 Maroon & Gold Invitational Friday. The Huskies posted 13 personal-best marks and five Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying marks.

The 5,000-meter race was crowded with huskies in the top-10 finishers.
Kevin Konyar (Winchester, Va./James Wood) led the way with a second-place finish and a personal-best time of 15:09.48. His mark was a PSAC qualifying time and currently ranks fifth in the conference.
Michael Gavio (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) was the second Huskies across the finish line with a PR of 15:38.82 for eighth. He now ranks 25
th on the conference list.
Ryan Duff (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) finished 10th overall with a PR of 15:49.94, and
Matthew Campbell (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) hit a PR as he finished 13
th with a time of 16:12.91.
Justin Ziegler (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) was the final Husky to finish as he took 16
th overall with a time of 17:16.76.

The mid-distance runners once again had a strong meet for Bloomsburg.
Tyler Bailey (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) led the pack with a pair of top-10 finishes. Bailey took second overall in the 800-meter run with a PSAC-qualifying time of 1:54.73 and 10
th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:26.46.
Chris McCormick (Ashland, Pa./North Schuylkill) took 10
th overall in the 800 with a time of 1:59.40, and
Brayden Graham (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) hit a PR with a time of 2:00.39 to take 12
th in the 800. Graham finished sixth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:16.08.

Matthew Carroll (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) hit a PR in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:14.00 to finish fifth overall.

In the 800-meter run,
Stephen Suwala () took 15
th at 2:02.64, and
Richard Loughran () finished 18
th at 2:06.83.
Liam Grayson (/) rounded out the race with a 19
th-place finish at 2:11.84.

The sprints were full of PRs for the Huskies as well.
Tyreem Welton (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) hit a pair of collegiate bests as he took third overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.22 and third in the 200 at 22.66.
Marco Olmedo (Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area) was just a step behind Welton as he took fourth in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes. In the 100, Olmedo hit a PR with a time of 11.25. He also hit a PR as he crossed the line at 22.81 in the 200.

Brady Dowell (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) finished sixth overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.31.
Robert Wilson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) hit a PR in the 200-meter dash as he finished second with a time of 22.50. He also took second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.13.
Andrew Basile (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) finished sixth in the 200 at 23.23 and fifth in the 400 with a time of 53.89.

Hank Anderson (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) won the 110-meter hurdles with a PSAC qualifying time of 15.09. He now ranks third in the conference. Anderson also won the long jump as he hit 6.95 meters and is now ranked seventh in the PSAC.

Doug Walsh (Old Forge, Pa./Holy Cross High School) took fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.91 and fifth in the long jump with a distance of 6.30 meters.

Dowell, Wilson, Basile, and Bailey combined for a second-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:30.04.
In the throwing events, the Huskies hit a pair of PRs and placed four in the top five of two events.
Tyreece Duke (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) won the javelin with a toss of 45.64 meters, while
Anthony Moser (Natalie, Pa./Mt. Carmel) finished second with a throw of 45.37.
Jackson Baldini (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg Area) hit a PR as he finished third with a distance of 43.75 meters.
Michael Makowski (Marion Heights, Pa./Mount Carmel Area) hit a PR in the hammer as he finished fifth overall with a distance of 42.19 meters.

Dillon Steffy (Elliotsburg, Pa./West Perry High School) finished second overall in the pole vault as he cleared 3.30 meters.

The Huskies travel to Lock Haven next Saturday for their final meet before the PSAC Championships on May 12-14.
