BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - With a new football season just days away, Bloomsburg University head football coach
Frank Sheptock announced the dates for "Huddle with the Huskies" this fall at the Quaker Steak and Lube located on Columbia Mall Drive.
Three dates have been established for the 2022 season series with the first one to be held on
Thursday, September 15. The next "Huddle with the Huskies" dinner and program will be on Thursday, October 20 - two days prior to the Huskies' Homecoming date against East Stroudsburg - and the series will wrap up on Thursday, November 3 prior to the final home game of the
2022 season.
The events are open to the public with dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m. and a short program to follow. A buffet dinner will be held each night with the cost of the meal being $14 per person - including a non-alcoholic beverage. Following the dinner, Coach Sheptock will speak about the season, preview the upcoming game(s), and introduce members of the coaching staff and players from this year's roster.
Sheptock, in his third season as the Huskies' head coach, will take the field for the first time this season at home against Stonehill College on September 3. The Huskies' schedule features six home games - including four in the first five weeks of the year. Sheptock and his coaching staff brought in a talented recruiting class to bolster a strong group of returners this season. The Huskies host Clarion on September 10 before hitting the road for the first time this season on September 17 against Edinboro. Bloomsburg opens its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) slate at home as the Huskies welcome Shippensburg to Redman Stadium on September 24 and will play West Chester under the lights on October 1 with kick off set for 6:00 p.m. in Bloomsburg. The Huskies and Warriors of East Stroudsburg are scheduled to square off for Bloomsburg's Homecoming game on October 22 before Bloomsburg wraps up its home schedule against Millersville on November 5.
