FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's golf team sits in second place after day one of the Golden Oaks Shootout hosted by Arcadia on Sunday afternoon.

The Huskies posted a team score of 304 (+16) at Golden Oaks Golf Club, with junior
Jake Taylor (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone Area) leading the way for the maroon and gold.

After shooting a career-low one-under par 71 in the opening round, Taylor is tied for the lead with Farmingdale's CJ Merritt and James Quinlan. His opening round featured four birdies, including back-to-back birdies on holes 12 and 13. Taylor tied the Huskies single round record with his performance on Sunday.

Pat Uebelacker (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) is tied for 22nd with a 77 (+5), while
Patrick Bush (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) and
Jarred Berish (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) sit in seven-way tie for 25th. Each finished the first round with scores of six-over 78 that including a trio of birdies.

Bryson Hicklin () rounded out the Bloomsburg golfers tied for 40th with a nine-over 81.

The Huskies return to the Golden Oaks Golf Club on Monday, October 2 for the second round of the Golden Oaks Shootout.
