BLOOMSBURG. Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team picked up seven wins at the Husky Invitational over the weekend.

The Huskies claimed victory in six singles matchups, with sophomore
Iu Casamitjana (Igualada, Spain/Escola Pia Igualada) going 2-0 in individual play over the weekend. Casamitjana's first match was a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Lafayette's William Woolley. His second win was a 7-6(5), 6-4 match against Nick McKenzie from Lafayette.

Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) claimed a second-round victory against St. Bonaventure's Arjun Pindiprolu, 5-7, 6-1, 11-9.

Casamitjana and Soria picked up an 8-4 doubles victory in the second round over Lafayette's Derrin Lerner and Sam Gelber.

Freshman
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/) won his opening-round matchup 6-4, 6-2 against the Leopards' Arman Ganchi.

Sophomore
Arnav Sharma (Haryana,India/Suncity School) defeated St. Francis' Zach Palko 6-4, 6-1 in the first round while
Landon Wall (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca High School) won his round two match against Woolley 6-4, 6-3.

The Huskies will begin their spring, team championship season on Sunday, February 4 as they travel to Saint Francis.
