YORK, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's swimming team sits in third with 162 team points after the first day of the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Swimming Championships.
Rylee Wenzel (West Lawn, PA/Wilson High School) and
Courtney Hubric (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) each hit an NCAA B Cut, Wednesday night.

In a very competitive 50-yard free A final, Wenzel took third overall with a time of 23.75 while Hubric came in fourth at 23.84. Seven of the top eight times in the A final were NCAA B cuts. Senior
Grace Beierschmitt (Dover, Pa./Dover) took eighth at 23.99.

In the B Final,
Sydney Lloyd (Nescopeck, Pa./Berwick) finished sixth and 14
th overall with a time of 24.43 while
Alicia Lehman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) took 18
th overall and second in the C final with a time of 24.45.

Earlier in the day,
Madison Osanitsch (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) got the first points of the meet for the Huskies with a 13
th place finish in the 1,000-yard free at 10:39.52, dropping almost 12 seconds off her seed time.
Katie Sharkey (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) finished 23
rd overall with a time of 11:01.37.

Katie Eisenhofer (Reading, PA/Schuylkill Valley) and
Tara Kupsky (Bear Creek Township, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) took on the C Finals of the 200-yard IM as Eisenhofer finished 22
nd overall (sixth in the heat) with a time of 2:12.55 and Kupsky finished 23
rd (seventh in the heat) at 2:12.63.

Anna Sugra (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor),
Maggie Shaffer (East Petersburg, PA/Hempfield), Eisenhofer, and Osanitsch finished seventh in the 800-yard free relay with a time of 7:53.36.

The Huskies get back in the pool this morning as the prelims kick off at 10:00 am at the Graham Aquatic Center.
