YORK, Pa — The Bloomsburg women's swim team continued its excellent start to the PSAC Swimming Championships as they had 15 qualifiers for the finals during the prelims. The Huskies are currently fourth in the team standings with 462 points.
 

The first event started with two Huskies earning a spot in tonight's finals of the 500-yard freestyle. Saryn McCullough took 15th with a time of 5:14.51 to race in the B Finals. Ella Dittmar (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) will be in the C Finals after taking 20th with a time of 5:17.15. 
 

Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) was the first Husky to make the A Finals after taking fourth in the 100-yard backstroke. She had a time of 57.56. Rachel Cunningham (Hanover, Pa./South Western) took 17th in the race and will take the first spot in the C Finals. She swam a time of 59.36.
 

Bloomsburg had multiple swimmers qualify in the 100-yard breaststroke starting with Vanessa Valli making the A Finals. She took fourth in the race with a final time of 1:05.09. Avery Wenzel (Reading, Pa./Wilson) and Morgan Keefer (Lewisberry, Pa./Northern York) will be in the B Finals as they finished ninth and 10th respectively. Wenzel had a time of 1:06.02 while Keefer was right behind with a time of 1:06.14. Olivia Igou (Flourtown, Pa./Springfield Township) took 15th with a time of 1:07.73, taking a spot in the B Finals. Sadie Ludwick (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) placed 20th with a time of 1:08.54 to earn a spot in the C Finals. Taleah Ruben (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) will join Ludwick in the C Finals after taking 21st with a time of 1:08.58.
 

Prelims ended with five Huskies qualifying in the 200-yard butterfly. Grace McBlain (Aldan, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) took second in the race with a time of 2:07.32, earning a spot in the A Finals. Ashley Martin (Middletown, N.Y./Pine Bush) will join McBlain by taking the final spot in the A Finals after placing eighth with a time of 2:09.40. Jordyn Kinnee (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) will race in the B Finals by taking 12th with a time of 2:13.06. Kaia Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) placed 17th to move on to the C Finals with a time of 2:15.14. Maddie Fletcher (Wrightstown, N.J./Northern Burlington County) also moves on to the C Finals by taking 20th in the race overall with a 2:18.25 final. 
 

The finals will start at 5:30 p.m. tonight from the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa. 
 

Event 21 — 500 Freestyle

20th – Ella Dittmar (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley), 5:17.15 (C-Final)
 

Event 23 — 100 Backstroke

4th – Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), 57.56 (A-Final)

17th – Rachel Cunningham (Hanover, Pa./South Western), 59.36 (C-Final)
 

Event 25 — 100 Breaststroke

4th – Vanessa Valli, 1:05.09 (A-Final)

9th – Avery Wenzel (Reading, Pa./Wilson), 1:06.14 (B-Final)

10th – Morgan Keefer (Lewisberry, Pa./Northern York), 1:06.14 (B-Final)
