YORK, Pa. — The Bloomsburg women's swimming team secured multiple championship and consolation final swims Saturday morning during the fourth day of preliminaries at the 2026 PSAC Championships, highlighted by a pair of A-final qualifiers in the 100 freestyle and strong depth across the backstroke and breaststroke events.
In the 100 freestyle, senior
Rachel Cunningham (Hanover, Pa./South Western) advanced to the championship final with a 51.26. Junior
Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) joined her in the A final, touching in 51.42 to place fourth overall heading into the evening session.
Samantha Linsey (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) posted a 53.28 to move into the consolation final, while Sid Beers followed with a 53.37 to secure a second swim.
In the 200 backstroke, junior
Grace McBlain (Aldan, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) led the way with a 2:07.38 to earn a championship final lane. Freshman
Maddie Fletcher (Wrightstown, N.J./Northern Burlington County) qualified for the consolation final in 2:11.75, while junior
Sarah Pickel (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) advanced with a 2:12.42 to swim in the C Finals
In the 200 breaststroke, senior
Vanesa Valli (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) clocked a 2:24.94 to earn an A-final swim. Junior
Ella Dittmar (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) followed in 2:25.27 to secure a second championship final berth. Freshman
Morgan Keefer (Lewisberry, Pa./Northern York) qualified for the consolation final in 2:27.44, while senior
Taleah Ruben (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) advanced in 2:29.47 to swim in the C Finals.
In the timed final 1650 freestyle, freshman
Saryn McCullough (Newark, De./Newark Charter) delivered a runner-up finish in 17:48.64. Junior
Ella Dittmar (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) added a sixth-place showing in 18:07.43, and freshman
Kaia Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) placed 13th in 18:48.60.
Bloomsburg will return to the pool Saturday evening with multiple championship and consolation final appearances as the 2026 PSAC Championships conclude. Races begin at 5:00 p.m.
