LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's track and field team had a solid performance during the first day of the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University on Saturday.
Jaime Diedel (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) had a top-10 finish in the 1500-meter run, placing ninth overall with a time of 4:47.10. Diedel's time was also a personal best.
In the same event,
Alyssa Keeley (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) set a PR with a time of 4:50.51, which helped her finish 23
rd overall. Not too far behind was
Sarah Sweet (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prepatory) with her time of 4:53.14 (35
th overall), which was also a PR.
In the 10,000m run,
Amanda Kelly (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) and
Nicole Keeley (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) had great performances as the tandem finished seventh and eighth overall. Kelly ran a 39:34.06 to finish seventh and Keeley had a mark of 39:45.99 to place eighth.
Dahlia Hosey (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) had a jump of 5.29 in the long jump to finish 20
th overall, and
Makayla Force (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) had a throw of 36.71 in the discus to finish 32
nd overall.
Bloomsburg will be back in action tomorrow when the compete in the second day of the Bison Outdoor Classic. Action begins at 10:00 AM on Sunday.
