BELLE VERNON, Pa. – Bloomsburg's men's golf team placed 14th in the two-day Vulcan Invitational hosted by California (Pa.). After playing three rounds, two on Sunday and one on Monday, the Huskies shot a combined score of 958.
Jarred Berish (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) matched his career-low in the opening round, shooting a 3-over par 75. He then shot an 82 in the second round and posted a 77 in the final round. Berish finished with a score of 234 (+18).
Patrick Bush (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) posted an 81 in the first two rounds of the Vulcan Invitational. His collegiate debut was highlighted by a 2-over 74, the second lowest single-round score in Bloomsburg Men's Golf history. Overall, Bush finished with a score of 236 (+20).
Luca Neally (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) shot a 79 in the opening round, followed by an 81 in round two. He shot a career-low 78 in the final round to finish with a 238 (+22) on the weekend.
Tyler Wilkin () posted an 85 in his first collegiate round, then cut three strokes for an 82 in the second round. He finished with a score of 253 (+37) after scoring an 86 in the final round.
Bryson Hicklin () shot a 91 in the opening round before dropping five strokes in the second round for an 86. He continued to improve in the final round posting an 83 and finishing with a 260 (+44)
The Huskies will travel to Shepherd for the Rams Invitational on September 24.
