KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Bloomsburg women's soccer team is No. 8 in the latest release of Atlantic Region rankings from the United Soccer Coaches Tuesday afternoon.

The Huskies fought to a pair of draws in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division games, moving to 7-4-2 overall and 5-4-2 in conference action. Bloomsburg began the week with a 0-0 draw on the road against East Stroudsburg before coming back to force a 1-1 tie at Steph Pettit Stadium against Millersville.

Brooke Foster (Cherry Hill, N.J./Camden Catholic) scored the lone goal for the Huskies on Saturday, scoring from a long-range shot to secure a pivotal point with just a few weeks remaining in conference play. For her effort defensive effort, Samantha Merklin (Effort, Pa./Pleasant Valley) received her third PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week award after making seven saves and allowing one goal last week.

The Bloomsburg women's soccer team is back at Steph Pettit Stadium for one game this week, as the team takes on Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23.
