LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's track and field team opened the season with a strong showing at the Bison Opener, Saturday afternoon. The Huskies collected nine top-10 finishes on the afternoon and two PSAC Championship qualifying times.

Chris Brittingham posted PSAC Championship qualifying marks in a pair of races for the Huskies. Brittingham took ninth in the prelims of the 60-meter dash, just missing the finals but earning a spot in the championships with a time of 7.05. The freshman took fifth in the 200-meter dash at 22.67 to earn his spot in the end of the season championship meet. Joining Brittingham as a top-10 finisher was freshman
Jalik Hill (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) who took ninth at 23.01.

Brady Dowell (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) finished eighth in the 300-meter dash at 38.41 while
Bryce Patillo (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg Area) took sixth in the 400-meter dash at 52.78.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Dowell, Patillo, Hill, and Brittingham finished fifth with a time of 3:29.91.

In the field events,
Daniel Ajuz (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) took forth with a jump of 6.68 meters (21' 11") in the long jump and Andrew Kane finished ninth at 6.41 meters (21' 0.5").

Trevor Johnson (Kintnersville, Pa./Palisades, Pa.) finished eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.68 meters (41' 7.25").
The Huskies return to action next Friday and Saturday when they travel to Susquehanna University for the River Hawk Early Season Invite.
