Men's Soccer Releases 2024 Schedule

The Bloomsburg men's soccer program is coming off an 11-4-5 season in 2023 which included the first NCAA Tournament victory in program history.

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Bloomsburg men's soccer head coach Mark Bassett has released the  schedule for the 2024 season. 

The Huskies are coming off an 11-4-5 season, marking consecutive double-digit win seasons and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament appearances for the third time in program history and first occurrence since the 2014 and 2015 seasons. The 2023 squad cemented their place in Bloomsburg history, capturing a 2-1 victory over Southern New Hampshire in the NCAA Tournament for the first victory in the postseason competition before a defeat to eventual national champions Franklin Pierce in the following round. 

The team will host 10 matches at Steph Pettit Stadium in 2024, beginning with a season-opening clash against Felician on Thursday, September 5, at 3:30 p.m.

The non-conference slate continues with a pair of road contests. The Huskies travel to Lock Haven on Sunday, September 8, for a 3:00 p.m. clash against the Bald Eagles. The second leg of back-to-back road games has Bloomsburg travel to face off with Goldey-Beacom at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, in a rematch from a year ago. 

Returning home, the Huskies host Findlay on Saturday, September 14, at 12:00 p.m. after traveling to take on the Oilers last season. The home stretch continues for Bloomsburg as the team opens its PSAC slate at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, at Steph Pettit Stadium.

The first conference road games of the season first see the Huskies travel to West Chester to take on the Golden Rams for a 12:00 p.m. matchup on Saturday, September 21. The squad wraps up September with a home contest on Wednesday, September 25, at 3:30 p.m. before traveling to Shippensburg to take on the Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 28.

October begins with the first of two matchups against defending PSAC champions Millersville, facing the Marauders the first time in 2024 on Saturday, October 5, at 3:00 p.m. at Steph Pettit Stadium.

Bloomsburg dips back into non-conference action, beginning at St. Thomas Aquinas at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9. The Huskies return home on Saturday, October 12, to take on Seton Hill at 3:00 p.m. after playing the Griffins in the season opener a season ago.

The conference schedule turns over for Bloomsburg with a road clash at 7:00 p.m. at East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, October 16. The Huskies take on the Golden Rams of West Chester on Saturday, October 19, at 3:00 p.m. before heading to West Virginia for a contest with the Rams of Shepherd at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23. The final PSAC matchup of October has Bloomsburg hosting the Raiders of Shippensburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26.

The Huskies take on their final two non-conference opponents in the final two home games of the regular season. October ends with a matchup against Dominican (N.Y.) on Wednesday, October 30 at 3:30 p.m. Bloomsburg hosts Georgian Court in a rematch from last season at 1:00 p.m. on November 2 in the home regular-season finale. 

The PSAC and regular season slate closes for the Huskies on Friday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m. with a road game against Millersville.

The PSAC championship tournament begins on November 11, with semifinal matchups held on November 15 and hosted by the top remaining seed from the Eastern Division. The top three seeds from each division make the conference tournament, with the divisional top seeds receiving an opening-round bye.
