Women's Soccer | 10/28/2025 4:04:00 PM

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Bloomsburg women's soccer team moved to No. 21 in the latest release of the United Soccer Coaches Division II National Poll, released on Tuesday. The ranking marked the seventh consecutive weeks the Huskies received a national ranking, tied for the second-longest national tenure under head coach Matt Haney and most consecutive weeks in a season since 2019.

The Huskies went 1-1 in its two PSAC contests last week, earning a 2-1 victory over East Stroudsburg and suffering a 1-0 defeat on the road to West Chester on Saturday. Bloomsburg jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in its midweek matchup with the Warriors, getting goals from Sydney Donovan (Middletown, Del./Appoquinimink) and Daryn Savage (Bensalem, Pa./Archbishop Wood) to secure a critical result. The Huskies entered a battle of top-25 teams over the weekend with the Golden Rams, coming up on the short side of a narrow result. Goalkeeper Samantha Merklin (Effort, Pa./Pleasant Valley) made 15 saves across Bloomsburg's two contests.

Bloomsburg is back in action at Steph Pettit Stadium on Wednesday, October 29, at 4:00 p.m. against Kutztown.
